About Zagros Forlag & Oversettelse
Zagros is an independent publisher and translation practice in Oslo. We work with literature that moves between languages, cultures, and borders.
The publishing house was founded by author Eisa Bazyar. Its name refers to the Zagros Mountains, a landscape connecting different languages and historical experiences. House of Culture and Literature expresses the ambition to provide a place for literature, conversation, and cultural exchange.
The catalogue includes novels and personal accounts about love, displacement, freedom, and human rights. Our work covers editorial development, book design and production, and translation between Norwegian, Persian, Kurdish, Arabic, Turkish, and other languages.
