Gelare
گلاره
Gelare is the second volume in Eisa Bazyar’s series and continues the story begun in Love in the Years of Executions. People return to places, relationships, and memories they once left behind. Homecoming gives the past a place in the present: what has happened continues to shape relationships and attempts to build a safer life.
Love, family, loss, and remembrance are central themes. Political and historical conflicts provide a background for questions about what it means to return, and what can be carried forward after a rupture. The book’s presentation centres on these connections between individual lives and history. Readers who want to follow the series in sequence can begin with the first volume and then continue with Gelare.
